YWCA Dormitory 

This option suits students looking for a traditional college dorm experience.

Kitchen  Loft  Living area

YWCA is a co-ed student dorm located just a 10 minute stroll from campus. This accommodation package includes a breakfast and evening dinner meal-plan. Students can look forward to a warm and friendly atmosphere in a secure and caring environment.  

Dorm amenities include:

  • Dining room
  • Common room with cable TV
  • Laundry room
  • Wi-fi throughout the building
  • Access to tea and coffee making facilities
  • Supply of bed linen on arrival
  • Heating and electricity charges included
  • There is a lovely dining area and a patio garden on the ground floor of the residence, where students gather for their meals. 

All twin bedrooms are ensuite and equipped with:

  • Desk and study lamp
  • Wardrobe
  • Private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet

Premium Student Residences

This option refers to new purpose-built student accommodation buildings. These are fully staffed student residences with extensive lounge, gym, cafe, etc. facilities. Though, each building will have slightly different ammenities. No meal plans included.

ISA Apartments

This option suits students looking for more independent accommodation. All apartments are located in Dublin city centre. No meal plan included. 

Shared accommodation

International Student Accommodation (ISA) operates student apartments located throughout Dublin city centre. The student apartments are available for stays of a few weeks, the summer, or a semester. You can choose between single, twin or double rooms, with a private ensuite room or shared bathroom. They come with fully equipped kitchens, living rooms, laundry facilities and Wi-Fi.

  • Welcome team: We will meet you on your arrival.
  • All the houses are in Dublin City Centre and within walking distance of all amenities.
  • Single, double and twin rooms with or without private bathrooms are available.
  • Houses fully equipped.
  • Self-catering properties: You have your own place to store your food and cooking facilities.
  • Free laundry facilities in the houses.
  • Rents all inclusive (bills are included in the price)
  • Payments accepted by credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, PaytoStudy, and cash.
  • Security deposit: €250 for long stays and €100 for short stays (less than 18 weeks).

Homestay

This option suits students who want to live with a host family.

International Student Accommodation provides homestays.  The Irish people are famous for their friendly welcome. By living with an Irish host family you will get to discover a new culture. All host families are carefully inspected and approved by ISA staff. 

ISA offers host family accommodation in single or shared twin rooms, either on a full or half board basis. Full board includes all meals and packed lunches, Monday to Friday. Half board accommodation offers breakfast and dinner, plus lunches on Saturday and Sunday when you are at home.  

Homestay

Where are the host families located?

All host families are located in the Dublin metropolitan area. Depending on what are you looking for, ISA will look for a host family that matches your expectations. The majority of our families are located in Dublin city typically located 3km-5km outside Dublin’s central business district. We have families in Dublin 3, Dublin 4, Dublin 5, Dublin 6 and Dublin 6W, Dublin 7, Dublin 9, Dublin 11, Dublin 15, Dublin 14, Dublin 16, Dublin 18 and in other close areas such as South Dublin (from Blackrock to Dalkey), Maynooth, Drogheda, Lucan, etc. all families are located close to good transport routes to ACD in the city centre.

Additonal Accommodation Resources

American College Dublin is located at 2 Merrion Square, Dublin 2.  Please use Google maps to check the location of your accommodation from the College. 

American College Dublin is located near the LUAS (Dublin's tram service) and the DART (Dublin's suburban rail services). We are also well served by several different Dublin Bus routes.  Good transport websites which will give you details on travel information to and from the college include - dublinbus.ie, irishrail.ie (DART), and luas.ie (tram).  The DART serves areas out of the city centre like Clontarf, Killester, Harmonstown, Raheny, Kilbarrack, Sutton, Howth and Malahide. These are suburbs based on the northside of Dublin.  It serves areas like Sandymount, Booterstown, Blackrock, Monkstown and Dun Laoghaire in the southside of Dublin.  The LUAS's green line service travels to Dawson Street, a 5 minute walk from the college. The red line service You will see the areas this line serves on the website provided.  Dublin Bus also provides good links to areas like Smithfield, Castleknock, Blanchardstown, Dundrum, Lucan and dozens more areas.
